Motivational Thursday

I’ve had a tough week since returning from the Blend Retreat.  Work has been a bit of struggle and I’m having a hard time wanting to do anything but be a lazy bum and hang out on my couch.  Even my workouts have been sacrificed.  This is a rather frustrating feeling that I’m working through.  Because of this, I figured I’d take today to share some motivational and inspirational quotes.  This is for me and for you.

“Almost everything–all external expectations, all pride, all fear of embarrassment or failure–these things just fall away in the face of death, leaving only what is truly important. Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart.” – Steve Jobs

“I’m selfish, impatient and a little insecure.  I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle.  But if you can’t handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don’t deserve me at my best.” – Marilyn Monroe

“Most of the shadows of this life are caused by our standing in our own sunshine.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson

“Every day do something that will inch you closer to a better tomorrow.” – Doug Firebaugh

“If you don’t know where you are going, you’ll end up someplace else.” – Yogi Berra

What are some of your favorite inspirational quotes?
